As you may have already read in the GM letter sent this afternoon in regards to reopening per Phase 1 of the governor’s order, Pickleball in CF will be reopening on three courts starting Monday, May 11 at 10am. The letter contained guidelines approved for the type of play and other restrictions set forth at a CF Board of Directors meeting with Jim Whitmore this morning. I had shared with all of you previously the plan that our club board had sent to them for their consideration. As you can see in Jim’s letter, they approved all our components from Phase 1 AND the addition of a component from Phase 2:

“play on three courts with people coming in groups of 5 or 6 and sitting only on the sidelines near the court they are using. No one in the social area”. That means the CORRECT number of people that can be in the entire Pickleball amenity area could be 18, not 12 as his letter states.

I have emailed Jim and he is aware of this problem in his announcement. He said he will clarify it in his next community communication.

This does change the nature of our Sign Up Genius a little. We will work to adjust the sign up format to reflect this increased number. I will be sending out our guidelines for signing up shortly and then the actual live link itself.
