Diane Mac contacted me yesterday with the following message to pass along to the club:

“Subsequent to our industrious collection of linens to the Sharing House, I have been contacted by their director.  They have an immediate need for both laundry detergent and dish soap.  Shelley  stressed that she didn’t want to presume that we would meet their needs, nor did she want to take advantage of CF’s continued generosity. I share those same feelings as I reach out to all of you.   However, I also saw the great work Sharing House does and realize the enormous need within Brevard.  Please keep that in mind.
A half gallon of laundry soap and a large bottle of dish detergent only costs $1 each at the Dollar Tree.  Shelley said this quality is sufficient. I can do the shopping if folks would like to make a cash donation.”

In further contacting Sharing House, they can also use these other “most needed” items: pancake mix & syrup, mayo, mustard, sugar (1 lb bags), cream soups, baked beans, pinto beans, paper towels and toilet paper.

So with this need in mind, we will place a Rubbermaid tote marked “Sharing House” on a table by the front court fence parking lot in which to drop your items. We will collect from Thursday, Sept. 23 – Sunday, Sept. 26 (yes, this is also during the tournament!) No time to shop? Diane will do it for you! Cash only (no checks), can be sealed in an envelope marked “Sharing House” and left in the Guest Fees Box mounted on the fence next to the bulletin board. Diane will pick up items and cash daily during the collection window. If you need to contact her, call 573-673-4858.

As a reminder, we will also be holding our annual Share the Season fundraiser for Sharing House in November. More information as the date gets closer. As always, thank you for your continued support and generosity!!
