Title: Brevard Racquet Club men’s 40yo+ Open Pickleball Tournament 16 team max

Balls: Dura Fast 40s provided by club
Format:
1. 2-7 game Round Robin brackets, 15 min time limit, play to 15 win by 1, timeouts (2, 1 min duration, can be utilized only when trailing).
2. Round Robin teams will be seated into a single Elim bracket play to 15 win by 1
3. Top 2 teams will play best 2 of 3 to 11, win by 2.
4. Side/server can be determined by teams playing unless they desire a coin toss by a tournament official.
6. In all games, the teams will switch sides at which time the first team reaches 8 points (when playing to 15).
7. Teams will be numbered 1-16 and will be determined by a “blind” draw at the time of registration.
Fee: $45 cash
Registration:
1. Courts open at 8 am for warm up.
2. Register by 8:40 am.
3. No registration fee or failure to sign in by 8:40 am means team forfeiture.
4. If a team member is not able to play before registration, a substitute is allowed. A player/substitute can be either male or female. If both team members are not able to play, then a backup team can play (if present).
5. If there are not 16 teams by the time the tournament starts then the format will be adjusted to the number of teams.
6. Please do your best to communicate as early as possible if you are not going to be able to play. You are allowed to get a substitute of any skill level prior to the tournament; as this is an open tournament. If both members cannot play then a team will be asked to play from the waiting list.
Food/Drink: Please bring your own food and beverages.
Sportsmanship:
1. Please no loud cursing, kicking balls, hitting balls in anger into the net or throwing paddles.
2. We are guests at Brevard Racquet Club. Please be courteous to fellow competitors, spectators, officials and volunteers at all times.
3. Please be good sports when you are leading by getting the ball back in play during the timed games.
Payout: Top 2 teams receive cash payout. Amount dependant on total number of teams.
