Hello!

I’ve had several comments and a few complaints regarding ladies round robin on Mondays that I’d like to address–

The first concern is about people opting out at the last minute and leaving us in a bye situation, especially in this cold.

While it’s inevitable that this will happen from the sign up level to a sudden illness or what have you, I would ask the ladies who want to play on Monday to hold the same level of commitment to playing as they would to a private foursome they’re playing with–that way we can have a solid count and can know if we need to rally to fill further slots or not. Sitting out when the weather is frigid isn’t ideal (although you can always drill on an empty court).

The other concern is about people deciding to leave mid-point or not playing the full time, again leaving the other players in a bye situation. This isn’t fair to those who all came out to play. This will happen at times of course, but if you feel you may not be able to play the whole time or have another appointment, wait to sign up for another week!

Lastly, if you do have a situation where you have to opt out, how about asking one of your friends to take your place? That’d help a lot–especially when all slots are filled or we have an even amount with no byes.

I’m putting together a new text list for our winter Monday Round Robins–if you would like to be included in it, please text me (Leanne Ely) at 704-578-2093 text the word ROBIN and I’ll add you to it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and of course, if you have feedback, you can email me at lulucooks@gmail.com or text me.

We all want our Mondays to be fun and to do that, it’s imperative that everyone’s needs are considered! 🙂
