This came to me this morning from Greer, SC:
Pballers… good luck competing in this weekend’s Connestee Falls Tournament. Jose always puts on a great tournament for a great cause — student scholarships.
There’s another charity tournament happening soon (Oct. 12 – 15) an hour away in Greer, SC. The Round Robin Rumble is benefitting Adaptive Pickleball, a startup 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to using pickleball as therapy for people with physical and cognitive disabilities. Tournament play will be on ten dedicated outdoor courts.
The Rumble has three age divisions (65+, 50-64 and under 50) at 3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5+ skill levels. It’s $50 for the first event and $10 for the second event. (Your registration fees are tax-deductible. That’s cool.)
The Super Seniors (65+) Mixed brackets play on Wed. 10/12 and Gender brackets play on Thur. 10/13. *** WE NEED MORE 65+ TEAMS TO REGISTER ***
50-64 and Under 50 Mixed brackets play on Fri 10/14 and Gender brackets play on Sat. 10/15. (Sun 10/16 is our rain date.)
Registration is on Pickleball Brackets. (click link to register)
Registration closes on Friday, Sep. 30.
If you have any questions, let me know.
We’d love to see you Rumble because all $$$ spent for the tournament will help Adaptive Pickleball buy needed equipment. (Sport wheelchairs cost around $2,500 each.) Thanks for considering playing.
