Important news to know:

  1. Now that the pool is open there are two important changes to be aware of – pool hours are 6:30am – 5:30pm. The gates are locked at all other times. If you play pickleball after 5:30pm and need to use the restroom or need access to the AED or emergency security phone at the pool, you will need to use the gate key. It will be given to us in the next day or two and stored in the whiteboard supply bin on the top shelf of the new tall cabinet. Please be sure to return the key to its storage place immediately after using it. There is also a one way traffic pattern at the pool. Whenever you need to enter the pool area, please do so via the gate by the bocce court. Only use the gate near the pickleball courts as an EXIT.
  2. Our official hours to use the pickleball courts are 8am – 8pm
  3. I have placed a Visitors/Short-term Renters policy on the courtside bulletin board. It states that “people who arrive from another area into CF are asked to voluntarily self-quarantine for 14 days before participating in community activities like group play for pickleball”. Even though we are typically a warm and welcoming group, in these days of Covid we need to work together in order to protect the health and safety of everyone. Currently in Phase 2 of the Governor’s Reopening plan we are in a “members only” mode for participation in group play using reservations through Sign Up Genius. If someone indicates that they are “visiting” and have “dropped in” to play pickleball, politely share this guideline with them. If needed, a Board member who is present at the courts could help. We have the backing of the POA administration when politely turning people away.
  4. Last call for shirt orders. I will place the order this weekend.
  5. There has been an increase in the number of yellow Fuse pickleballs that are breaking. Soaking them in bleach water may be a factor. Please remember to dump the bleach water bucket if you believe you are the last group of the day, even if you are using your own pickleballs. If needed, replacement pickleballs can be found in the tall cabinet on the top shelf.
  6. There are several items in the Lost and Found, including a white Gamma Compass paddle from two days ago. Please retrieve what is yours.

That’s it. Lots of inquires lately from people visiting the community. Lots of residents have returned. It is a busy time at the courts. Thank you for continuing to reserve your playing spots using Sign Up Genius. See you at the courts!!
