Calendar updates –

Daily Dose is returning thanks to Deb Richter! Daily Dose is a skills and drills session open to participants of all skill levels. Sessions will begin on Wednesday, March 18th and run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 – 10:00am.

With the change in daylight savings time and warmer weather, Sweet Picklers will be adjusting their start times as well. On Sunday March 22nd, play will begin at 10:00am. Tuesday and Thursday play will also shift to 3:00pm starting that same week. This will be a permanent change on the calendar at least until the end of May.

Special events –

Our club will be holding a special St. Patty’s Day social on Tuesday, March 17th from 2:00 – 6:00pm (weather dependent). Players are encouraged to wear green, participate in the structured social play event from 2:30 – 3:30pm and continue in open play from 3:30pm on. Although folks are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages, NO COMMUNITY FOOD WILL BE SHARED (in compliance with our new Best Health Practices – see separate eblast). We hope you can join us for what is sure to be a fun event!!

I’d also like to pass along two other important dates –

Senior Games and SilverArts Presentation on Monday, March 23rd 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Transylvania County Parks and Recreation building. Come enjoy a FREE hot dog dinner and learn about Land of Waterfalls Senior Games and SilverArts open to all county residents 50 years of age and older.

A BBQ Fundraiser to benefit Land of Waterfalls Senior Games will be held on Thursday, March 26th from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Transylvania County Parks and Recreation building. $7 plate includes BBQ pork, baked beans, slaw, bread and dessert. Dine in or take out. Delivery available in town only by calling 828-884-3156.
