The Connestee Falls Pickleball Club Committee met on October 20th, 2023. 

Herein are the minutes of the meeting:

        1.      Welcome to new board members Chris Wunder and Tom Hunter.

        2.      Dates for 2024 were discussed for our Reitman and scholarship tournaments with dates TBD.

        3.      Tournament report from Chris Wunder–what we did right, what we can do to improve.

        4.      Financial report from Debbie Dove was shared.

        5.      We took a picture of our board at the clubhouse–it’s in the shadowbox at the courts.

        6.      Balls. Count and type. Can we get an average on use? We continue to try to get the best deal on balls and monitor their use.

        7.      Ice machine/water–a long term goal.

        8.      Store status–stay tuned. 

        9.      Winter season shift. Keeping balls from breaking? We have a warmer being worked on by Chris Wunder.

        10.     Vaptr roller and towels. Cleaning? Drying? General maintenance. 

        11.     Court signage–can we consolidate the many signs?

        12.     Rules and regulations review. 

        13.     Board role review.

        14.     Future projects–lots of vision for our future. Stay tuned. 

        15.     Maintenance items, umbrellas for example. Leanne met with POA maintenance, they will replace in the spring.

        16.     Employee fund for CF. Debbie handled this. As a Club, we are donating $500.

        17.     Player development. Ladies RR events (separate from Mondays), possible Men’s RR and interclub play as well as clinics and lessons were all discussed. K

It was a long first meeting, but productive and even fun! 

As your committee, we are here to serve our pickleball club. Feel free to share with us any feedback or ideas you might have!
