Just wanted to pass along some important news:

– the leaf vac has arrived! Brad has assembled and tested it. This will be so helpful this fall. Only those who have been trained to use it may. For a tutorial or to be part of our maintenance crew, please contact Brad.

– Gas cans – there are now two different gas cans in the shed. The smaller one wrapped in silver duct tape contains mixed fuel to use in the blower only. The newer red can contains pure gas to use in the leaf vac. BOTH ARE MARKED ACCORDINGLY. However, just be sure to double check you have the right one before refilling any equipment!

– wind directional markers – Bob has repaired/replaced all the markers on the courts. The new hot pink flags look great. He also has adjusted the decorative wind vane so it should spin.

– towels – thanks to all of those folks who have taken towels to wash and/or dry. This is a continual chore that we appreciate community help in completing.

– court replacement – an evaluation has been completed. It was deemed appropriate that a full tear down and replacement of the four original courts should be done. Jim Whitmore told me since the cost will be significant, this will be placed in the POA budget in 2 years. Bob Bennett and Chuck Walsey, who have expertise in this area, have volunteered to work in conjunction with the contractor and POA on this project. We appreciate their taking on this role.

The courts remain open to arranged games only. It has been great to see so many of you out there even when the weather was warm. Let’s hope for cooler days ahead! Paddles up!
