Hope everyone has had a chance to get out on the new courts. They are really wonderful to play on. If you have not sent a quick thank you to Jim Whitmore and the POA Board, please consider doing that. Goodwill goes a long way.
We have 8 capable men who have signed on to play in the CF golf event on September 3. I hope all of you find it to be an enjoyable day. Thanks for representing the Pickleball Club!
The safety railing has been installed in the back seating area. BTW, I have received many compliments about this new area. It really is so much nicer than the old bench seating. Again, if you have not walked back to take a peek, you should.
The webcam has been up and running for over a week now. I have used it several times to see how crowded the courts are, if you can tell if they are wet after a rainstorm (you can) and also to monitor if umbrellas are down before the end of the day (sometimes they are still up). We do continue to need your help to be sure ALL umbrellas are down and secure before storms roll in. Gusty winds can damage them. You can access the webcam by going to YouTube and searching for CFPOA multicam.
Last, but not least, your pickleball Board will meet on Monday afternoon to review all feedback we have received over the last two weeks regarding the new schedule and reopening of the 6 court facility. Thanks to everyone who submitted input. There is a lot to go through and some is overlapping or contradictory. Please know we will give each piece of input serious consideration, but not everything will be able to be enacted.
Okay, that’s it for now. Happy National Pickleball Day on Monday!
